What is IPTV?

IPTV is a service based on Internet Protocols. It involves the transmission of digital television service using Internet protocol over broadband connection lines at subscriber’s place.

Establishing IPTV connection

Setting up IPTV service requires broadband connection and a TV set at subscriber’s place along with a set-top box. Through the broadband connection lines the IPTV service provider can send a digital two way broadcast signal (Digital TV broadcast signal). The set-top box connected to subscriber’s TV set receives the signal and converts/decodes this IP Video Signal for the standard TV sets. The se-top box is programmed in a way that a user can interact with it on screen and can access available services.
