WEGA GATEâ„¢ Easy Operation Guide

WEGA GATEâ„¢ Easy Operation Guide is a feature common in some Sony HDTVs. It provides a user friendly on screen navigation system for TV functions. The functions can be favorite channels, input lists, settings or TV channel list. Favorite Channels feature allows you to create and navigate 16 channels per list.

DRC-Digital Reality Creation

DRC palette option allows you to customize TV picture to reality and clarity by controlling the details and smoothness. The control includes multifunction V1 circuitry that uses digital mapping processing. Digital mapping processing replaces NTSC analogue signal with almost HD equivalent level. The result is optimized picture according to the viewing conditions, signal quality and personal preferences.

Integrated HDTV and ATSC Tuner

The integrated HDTV allows you to enjoy pure HD Programming with HD audio and video quality. ATSC Tuner eliminates the need for set-top. Also makes possible the reception of local, off-air digital and HD programming for free.

I.LINK® INPUTS

With I.LINK Inputs you can connect you TV with other digital home entertainment devices like camcorders. The exchange of copyright protected HD content between TV and a device is safer through I.LINK.

MIDâ„¢-XU (Multi Image Driver)

MID Circuitry works with Sony's Twin View 2 Tuner and allows you Picture in Picture feature. You can watch an analogue channel in a window along side HDTV channel on the same screen.

CableCARDâ„¢ Slot

CableCARD you get when subscribe with cable TV provider. Insert the card in the CableCARD Slot at back panel of TV. When cable service activates slot eliminates the need for set-top box. It allows you to receive both standard definition and high definition television.

PC Input

With PC Input you can connect you system with TV. This allows you to use your TV as a monitor displaying PC screen on TV.

PDP Driver IC

The technology finds the gradation of dark scenes and enhances resolution in those low brightness ranges. This provides more optimized picture.

HDMIâ„¢ - High Definition Multimedia Interface

HDMI Interface allows connecting your TV with an HMDI supported set-top box, DVD player, A/V receiver or any HDMI supported equipment. Also allows multi channel digital audio with SD or HD video.

DVI HDTV Interface

STEADY SOUND®

Steady Sound Feature provides you with a volume equalizer. Also allows you to adjust a consistent output between commercials and programs.

PARENTAL CONTROL

Sony HDTVs use V-Chip technology. The technology allows blocking the programming on TV. Good for parents they can restrict children of watching unsuitable programs.

Component and Dual-Component Video Input

Component video input allows you to connect DVD or Set-top box with your TV. Dual component video input provides better picture quality than composite or S-video inputs.

CineMotion® Technology

CineMotion Technology comes in view when you play back movies or videos on film. It smoothes the picture providing you more enjoyment.

Light Sensor

Light Sensor optimizes the brightness level of the picture. By default it is off. When you on, its effect become visible depending on picture mode and power saving settings.

Info Bar/Caption Vision

This displays channel and program information and allows closed caption.

BN Smoother

Digital video decoding and encoding process causes block noise. Some televisions contain BN Smoother feature that overcomes this defect.

Media Receiver Unit

With a separate Media Receiver unit you can place audio and video inputs using one single cord. This provides flexible and simple installation between media unit and TV.
